In Adair/Russell County, KY, the handlers placed a video camera next to the pen
before the aircraft arrived and pressed the record
button. Chris Gullikson taxied up, turned around and gave the thumbs up sign to
release the birds. Laurie and Maire opened the pen
gate and flapped with them to raise their excitement level. One bird couldn't
find the door and Laurie led it out while Marie
encourage it from behind. To discourage any that had thoughts of turning back,
Bev acted as Swamp Monster, as Joe flew overhead in
the chase position.
