MileMaker 2008
This year marks a NEW migration route - be one of first to sponsor a mile that we've never traveled before... Seven states, ~1285 miles, and an unknown number of migration days lie between the 2008 Whooping crane chicks’ fledging ground at Necedah National Wildlife Refuge in Wisconsin, and their wintering grounds in Florida. To determine the cost of a MileMaker sponsorship, we divide the total migration expenses by the number of miles to be flown. With rising fuel costs we have been forced to increase the cost slightly to:
Operation Migration relies on the generous support of caring, conservation-minded individuals to help defray the costs of our annual ultralight-guided migration with the newest cohort of young Whooping cranes.
