Day 35  - Nov. 19, 2003

Weathering the Storms....

This is what we awoke to this morning as a new round of heavy rains fell. The crane pen is there, alongside a new creek that appeared overnight. This field is normally a grass runway!
Approaching the river, Brooke and I could see the torrent of water running alongside the narrow road that leads to the creek below.

Brooke surveys the creek, which yesterday was only perhaps 15 ft. across and up to mid-calf.
It tripled in width overnight....

and depth as Brooke quickly found out. He made it across and back just fine....
