Meet the Class of 2008

October 6 - 12, 2008

The oldest crane in the Class of 2008 number 803 has lost almost all of her cinnamon colored feathers.
Crane 810 in his solitary section of the Canfield Site.
The weather has been uncooperative this week so the birds are taken out for exercise sessions to stretch their wings and expell some energy.
After burning off some energy, 803 and 819 come in for a landing. 819 hails from an egg produced at the Devonian Centre for Conservation Research at the Calgary Zoo in Alberta, Canada.
